Kelli grew up in Marion County, Iowa. She got married and moved to Sweet Home Alabama, but the love for her hometown remained. As a result, The Heart Of Marion Co. was born. But it doesn’t stop there. Kelli designed the logo to tell a story, her story. Growing up in the corn state she knew she had to have corn fields in the logo; she used corn stalks to represent each of her family members; and the windmill representing the Dutch heritage of her grandparents. Not long after The Heart Of Marion Co. was born, Kelli and her husband found themselves back in Iowa, just miles from her hometown.
A product of sentiment
I am a graphic design creative, and I grew up surrounded by cow farms and cornfields in Iowa. My love for art goes back to when I was a toddler in a playpen. Left by myself, with markers that just happened to be within reaching distance, I colored my entire body. That is where my love for art started, and it only grew from there. I live for vector art. I pour my heart and soul into it. I love watching my sketches come to life on my screen and turn into beautiful pieces of art, but my greatest joy is seeing the excitement on clients’ faces when they receive a design they are proud of and love. That is my goal—to produce joy through design.

Whether is is creating a logo or a website, graphic design is my passion. I use Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and other tools to create art work that is appealing to the eyes with the purpose in communicating a specific message to viewer.

Photography is a visualization of a moment. Whether it’s a young couple in love or a family enjoying the gift of laughter, I love to capture the special and spontaneous moments that life brings—giving individuals memories that they can hold on to forever.

Birthdays, anniversaries, Mother’s Day, Father’s day — they always come around every year. What better way to say “I love you” than with a sign personalized for each occasion. I take great pride in making sure each detail, no matter how small, is perfect.
